To best service you, we always try to get some information from you prior to you making a booking.
You will have a choice of either filling in and returning a pre-consultation form or a free 10 minute phone call so we can assess your concerns and decide if a Trichology Consultation at Trinity Trichology Clinic is what would serve you best.
Once you have booked your consultation, a deposit will be taken to reserve your spot, this is non-refundable in case of a no-show.
You will then be given a set of instructions to prepare you for your consultation (what to do with your hair and scalp before the consultation, and what to bring with you to the consultation).
The consultation typically takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on the complexity of the concerns.
Trichology is a holistic discipline, so the trichologist will be asking you a wide variety of questions on your medical and family history, hair care regimen, current medical status (are you currently being treated for any diagnosed conditions, etc), dietary and lifestyle practices.
The consultation also includes a manual and microscopic (using trichoscopy) investigation to help in the diagnosis of your condition(s).

The trichologist may recommend specific blood tests for you to do (through your GP or private clinic) in order to help with the diagnosis. Once you have received the results, the trichologist will be able to analyse them and give you feedback in a follow-up consultation.
A prognosis and recommendations are made where appropriate.
Trinity Trichology Clinic also offers non-trichological consultations for clients who simply want to learn how to take care of their curly or Afro hair types. These are offered through our SALON (not through the Trichology Clinic). You can contact us through the salon: www.belindaakobel.com

Trichology Consultation
A manual and digital analysis of the hair and/or scalp.
The aim of the consultation is to arrive at a reliable diagnosis by examining the hair strands and the scalp for any issues. Trichoscopy (dermoscopy of the scalp) will be performed to help identify signs of specific conditions.
The consultation also includes an assessment of the client’s medical status, medical history, family history, hair styling history, lifestyle (exercise, sleep, stress), nutritional status and possible deficiencies.
The causes of the condition(s) are what a trichologist is most concerned with. If the cause(s) can be identified, then they can be treated, and the problem will be either cured or treated through recommendations made by the Trichologist. If specific treatments are needed, the Trichologist will make recommendations as to which can be done in the clinic, (such as keratolytic treatments or phototherapy) and which need to be done by dermatologists or other specialised health practitioners. This may be medications, PRP, mesotherapy, microneedling, etc. Which can all help with Scalp Issues.
Follow up consultation
Follow-up consultations are arranged at the convenience and decision of the client. There is no pressure to book a follow-up consultation or any of the treatment options recommended.
Treatments can be started without the cost of a follow-up consultation as long as it is within 8 weeks of the initial first consultation. Should treatments start later than 8 weeks, a follow-up consultation will be necessary and charges for this (£80) will apply in addition to charges for any of the treatments performed.

Your hair will be expertly cut to achieve the look you want. The only regret our clients have is “why didn’t I get started sooner”
